It takes a bit of effort to download at the moment. Morpheus has a disproportianate effect on the network and they recently changed clients (again) which is somewhat disruptive.
Some things to try:
1. Wait for LimeWire to 'warm up' once you are connected. It takes LimeWire a little while to find a good set of connections into the gnutella network.
2. Try different searches. Think laterally. People may not name things the way that you assume they do.
3. Repeat searches. The network toplogy changes very rapidly at the moment. In fifteen minutes you'll be connected to a whole different part of the network.
4. Share files. I (and many others) set the Anti-freeloader settings so that people not sharing files will find it more difficult to download... A large part of the problem is that there are far more people trying to download than there are sharing.
