I strongly suggest you upgrade to Java 1.4.1 and LimeWire 2.6.3. There have been very significant changes since LimeWire 1.7 - including fixing bugs like missing text.

Uninstall Java and LimeWire - download the latest versions, install Java, install LimeWire.
