A hot data file would be
(i) something new. (or/and)
(ii) a file fer which there was a previous history of unsatisfied requests.
(iii)something that a user of the Gnuttela n/w subjectively decides should be 'hot'

so, i make an offer of sharing the file to nodes in my hostlist.
The nodes in my host list would then decide on whether the file needs to be propogated or not ... well if you think that this is a problem, then we can simply prompt a list of files to the user of the destination node and let him decide which ones need to be selected. .. ..,

Such a scheme in my opinion would also be very useful when we explore possibilities of 'grouping' gnutella users., searching based on keywords etc. ..
