Perhaps the copy of Limewire you have is corrupted, in which case reinstalling is not going to help. This is true of the downloaded version especially, but I have heard of rare cases where distributors put out bad CDs. If you downloaded this, try downloading it again and make sure the downloaded file size matches the stated size in the download site.

By the way, it helps to give the following information in threads like this:
- processor type and speed
- amount of RAM memory
- amount of harddrive space AVAILABLE, not TOTAL
- version of operating system
- version of software you're running. This usually can be found under the 'help' menu item. Look for 'about' selection.
