Check the other posts in this section and the replies they received. Basically, files fail to transfer to the shared folder because they have illegal symbols in them, or the 'save to' folder is nonexistant or points to the wrong place (bad drive number, for instance).
As for the failure to launch, I see the problem occasionally. It happens after using a couple of programs, one of which is Windows Media Player, another being Winamp. Even closing these doesn't always set things straight.
What can I say? 'PC' stands for Personal Cross.
