without a bit of more to go on it's hard to tell
could be something to do with the chooser if you use ethernet for your internet
or a file exchange issue maybe
do you use said printer if not delete (be careful, I have had major probs in the past by not watching what I was doing )the printer driver files, preferences, control panels and so on.
