Not necessarily. It may be something in 2.7.3 that was a problem. I was clearing out some old emails and I found another bug notice I had sent from when I first installed it a few weeks ago. It was the same exact message. So, I think it just came up because I had reinstalled it the other day. It still works.

I think something is obviously being overlooked in the code.

I'm sorry you haven't heard back. I'd be alot more upset, too, if I were a paying customer. Since I'm not, it's not that big of a deal. It'll get worked out eventually. I hope!
