So here's maybe a dumb question, but it's something that's bugging me and I can't figure out despite all my searching. Is there simply no way to look up another user directly in order to share files with each other?

Just today I had an issue with a girl that I was chatting with and we were trying to share some great files. But we couldn't find any of each other's files to download, and so we couldn't do the browse host thing to look at each other's complete libraries. We chatted for at least two hours and then there was no way to keep track of each other for the future aside from swapping email addresses. It was so frustrating! Plus, we didn't get the files shared!

Thanks for any help that anyone might be willing to give me! I sincerely hope I didn't just repeat the same question from some other thread because I know how people (including me) hate that. It's impossible to find an answer with thousands of messages that just repeat each other! So I hope I didn't commit the same crime here, but I just didn't have any more hours to devote to looking around!
