Can't Uninstall or Reinstall Limewire I went to start up Limewire in OS X (jaguar) and it said, "application has unexpectedly quit". After several tries I decided to uninstall the program. When I start up the uninstaller it gives me the same error message. I then tried to install Limewire again. No such luck. Same error message came up. How can I remove all instances and traces of Limewire out of my Mac? In OS 9 it was as easy as dumping the folder but now that OS X handles system and program files differently, you can't simply throw the folder away.
Of all of the file sharing programs, I hate to say that Limewire is really at the bottom of the pile when it comes to reliability. If they could improve the engine and work out the bugs I'd be willing to buy the "real" version of it. I've used Limewire for some time now and have always had some sort of problem with it. The only problem is that nobody else makes a decent file sharing program for Mac. You guys have a definite market but if the product itself lacks, expect sales to lack as well. |
