asf is a window format, use windows media player to view it.

asf will not play on DVD players. I think it has to be mpg-1 format, not quite sure. I use Easy CD Creator 5 and it will check the files to tell you if they are DVD compatible.

Try posting questions at http://bearshare.net/ they will answer better and faster then there. They even have a forum just for movie questions.
