Well, I see I'm not the only one having this problem. I began using Limewire last fall when I got an iMac, running OS X 10.2. _For about three months, Limewire downloading was almost seamless for me - very few corrupt files.
Lately, though, a good 75% - 80% of my downloads end with the message, "Limewire has detected a corruption in the file ... would you like to download anyway?" or words to that effect. _Yet even if I click "yes," to continue the download, the file doesn't appear in my library. _So, in the case of mp.3s, I can't move them to iTunes. _There's nothing to move.
Has anyone from Limewire weighed in on this?_ It's a really annoying problem - I wonder if somehow the recording industry has injected bad files into the mix. _Or is that notion a tad too paranoid? |
