Try

File> Add to Library

in the menu bar. Then choose your mp3 file.

One thing to be noted. Check your itunes music folder for the new file afterwards. If it is not copied there, then it is reading the file from the LimeWire shared folder. If you should ever move it from the shared folder, you would have to add it back in from its new location.
