I don't know what you can do to make downloads faster, but if you have confirmed that the files are complete, you can manually move them into iTunes.

What do you have your Saving Folder (the one you download to) set as? It may be incorrectly set to go to your Incomplete Folder. You can go to:
Tools > Options > Saving and double check it. You can change it there.
