LimeWire does not read the location of the limewire.props file directly from the registry. (In fact LimeWire does not store or read any information from the registry that might be vital for running it). So I'm mystified why LimeWire is suddenly working after deleting the registry entries.

The PRO version of 2.9.4 will be uploaded monday. One of the LimeWire devs uploaded the free version to the PRO page by mistake.

LimeWire will not run at all on Microsofts JavaVM. You can run LimeWire only with Sun's JRE 1.3.1+ (and maybe with IBM's JVM). So whatever the installer said is bullshit.
