I have tried to find the limwire preferences folder or file to look at changing it as recommended above. I opened my system folder then preferences, then limewire, but the only file therein opened limewire. Also someone has noted that this is an OSX forum. I didn't know that. How would I get to a system 9 forum. I am clearly not very good at this stuff. Thanks for your patience and assistance.
