Did you install LimeWire while running 9.2? Sounds like you are running LimeWire in Classic mode (9.2). Not good.

If so, is your HD partitioned, or are OS 9 and 10 on the same partition/drive? (That's the way Apple shipped them out before dropping OS 9 on the newer computers).

If you can see an mp3 icon in your Shared folder, and not in the LimeWire window, (the path is HD>Applications>LimeWire>Shared), you should be able to do a command + i on any of those files to get info on them.

Now, if you have both OS 9 and 10 on the same partition, it may get confusing. I have my OS's on separate partitions, for simplicity and other technical reasons. If that is the case, somebody with your setup may have to weigh in to help wade through this.


Ideally, while booted into OS 10, you would use your Safari or Internet Explorer to go to your Pro download page and download the version for OS 10. Then, you'd want to install it so that you can avoid that Classic mess.
