Default Congratulations!

You have correctly begun to analyse the method required to download from Gnutella. Every step in your post is absolutely right. The resume button was disconnected some time ago (foolishly the developers have left it in place in case they decide to reactivate it in the future, assuming new users wil not be confused?!?). So you have to monitor each download, carefully keeping the original hits on the search tabs (you have to manage the tabs carefully, manually deleting those no longer in use to stay within the maximum you set in Preferences). The just kill and restart the download from the original hit until that dries up. Then find out if the host has logged off by leaving the stalled download in place and repeating the search using the same typography shown in the downloads window. If the host is still on line, this will usually refresh the download. If it does not, keep records of your partial files and research for the sources over whatever period you have set in your preferences. Only through active management can you download successfully.
