Files deleted from drive ... that I know of. Hey thanks for the help. I'm just a little creeped out by this. I'm a psyudo-geek.
Running: LW 3.2.2 'pro' & 800mhz iBook 10.2.6 G3 iTunes 4.0.1 on a pirated wifi line (someone's broadcasting it over the ENTIRE intersection in the city I live in).
I don't accedentially dump files - but twice the shared folder (which is separate from my personal MP3 files) was emptied completely; the second time it was zapped I had copied an entire folder (70+ files).
The first time it was lost I had 5 gigs of files which were also in my iTunes as well (thought it'd be easier to burn 'em for friends if I had the folders in one place + used Toast as opposed to using iTunes to burn).
So since I was operating from a copied set there should be 3 copies of a number of songs in: iTunes, the shared folder, and the copy I kept separate. Doing a find the files don't show up in a directory.
Now I know zip about using the UNIX prompt so I imagine they COULD exist.
Argh.
I thought maybe I nixed them myself by zapping the incomplete downloads folder but that doesn't make sense.
Thank you again. |
