That is most likely because you are sharing files with extensions that are not listed as the extensions you want to share in LimeWire's options. The list of extensions that it shares is available from Tools -> "Options..." -> "Sharing." You will see a section that is labeled "Shared Extensions" with a semicolon separated list of extensions that will be shared. Any file with an extension that isn't listed there will not be shared by LimeWire.
