Could we have a tool or access to a server that will analyze gnutella connection quality?
http://bandwidthplace.com/speedtest/ offers some java tools for web connections.
[edit]--should have been
http://www.broadbandreports.com/tools
Chris Platt wrote an handy little applescript for checking open gnutella ports
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/chris.p...cknat.app.sit, and has allowed me to mention it here
Can these be combined and refined for gnutella?
Please--LW often takes unfair blame for connection problems that can be avoided, or at least identified, but are very difficult to troubleshoot. A tool that could compare the success of browser transfers with gnutella transfers would greatly help.
Anyone else want to help buy a round to the person generous enough to build such a tool? Cheers! (I hope).
