You can also look in the Limewire and Phex source. The developers are registered here if you need help.
But it sounds more that you search for a tutorial " easy learning java and programming clients"! I never heard about such a tutorial (if it exists you will find it with
www.google.com ), the normal way is to learn java, c, c++ etc. (there are a lot of tutorials and then you can read Moak´s faq and create your own client. You should also know a lot about networks and telecommunicatin. Its not done with a few tutorials and some examples...
