Feature Request: 'normal' download manager Hello,
at first i want to thank all of the phex-developers/supporters for their effort to make this ingenious application.
The second thing I want to say is about a feature request.
I don't know why this hasn't been made already (at least in non of the p2p tools i've ever seen):
A normal ftp/http download functionality directly integrated into the p2p/gnutella download part.
This way you can download a file from a specific location (ftp/http whatever) and in parallel phex can search for the same file in the p2p network to speed up lame connections.
The second advantage would be that the files are shared after download so other people can then also download it from you (if directory is a shared one).
And finally you don't need to use another download manager to do this.
What does everybody else think about this? Compeltly bullshit? To difficult to implement? Too much redundance with other programs? No cecksums from ftp/http. I'm open to other suggestions/critisism ;-)
