As I thought about it, I was getting an error message that said something like, "needed application is not on your computer", so I went ahead and downloaded the divx codec. In the process, I discovered that it only works with Windows Media Player 6.3. I probably have Windows Media player 6.3 on a back cd somewhere, but naturally, I would prefer a solution that works with my current Windows Media 7, or Quicktime or some other MPEG player. I'm also afraid of creating a conflict if I put Windows Media Player 6.3 back on my machine. Any further thoughts?
