The iTunes integration for Mac was contributed by me. It's based on some Mac only APIs and there's no counterpart on Windows or isn't supported by iTunes for Windows (e.g. scripting).

I can't promise anything but I have already an idea with an alternative approach which should/will work on Mac/Windows/etc. Stay tuned...
