First of all, since you've had BearShare, you probably have New.net installed. This is a small spyware program that "piggybacks" on the BearShare installation. New.net is known to cause many problems with LimeWire, so it is wise to remove it in any case. Under Windows, go to Add/Remove Programs and uninstall new.net (or whatever the variation of the name is). Try the installation again. If this doesn't work, try cleaning out your temp foler (C:\WINDOWS\Temp) in conjunction with the new.net uninstall. Simply browse until you find the folder, and then select all the files in it and delete them. Then try the installation again. Let us know if it worked! :-) Good luck.
