Have been using LimeWire for a few years, and never had any troubles. Recently upgraded to 3.8.5

Here are the problems I'm having for the first time on my Windows 2000 system:

1. The files I am sharing don't show up in searches. Ever. Previously I would see my own files when I made a search. As I use LimeWire to give, as much as to get, it is important to me that my shares are going out. I have my share folder set correctly and the library windows shows hits on these files, but when I searched from another PC for the files I was sharing, I didn't see them there either.

2. LimeWire doesn't start on system startup any more, and I have tried several times the likely fix of deselecting the autostart box, clicking apply, and then reselecting the autostart box and re-applying. Um. No dice.

3. This led me to try uninstalling the program, deleting the program folder, and re-installing. Still no luck. However I noticed that despite the fact that I deleted the program folder after uninstall, the new install still preserved my old settings, leading me to assume they are stored in the registry or somewhere else.

Any insights into these issues would be appreciated.
