The chances of 'getting a virus' using any client, not only LimeWire, on the Gnutella Network while doing p2p filesharing are truly miniscule
in comparison to the true threat which will come from opening certain types of e-mail.
You are right in your comments re: Kazaa as it is an altogether different system of filesharing... And, unfortunately for many, Kazaa users are notorious for sharing files which DO contain viruses.
Please, for you, do not fear participating in p2p activities on the Gnutella Network... But, always remember that you must protect yourself... So must your father !!!
Never connect to the internet without a proven and quality Anti-Virus program installed AND running before connection.
The above comment/warning does not only refer to filesharing stuff... It means exactly what it says...
