No problem !
btw, If you do use CDex 1.51, be sure to take a look at all of the various 'tabs' on the top of the screen...
Pay especial attention to the 'Quality' section as that will determine the sound quality and the size of the .mp3 files you create.
There are quite a number of settings, but it's really not too complicated...
The included help files are very good, also !
Have fun !
p.s. Don't forget that .mp3 is NOT the only choice for your compressed files...
There is also .ogg and .ape ........
Ogg Vorbis and Monkey's Audio...
The Monkey's Audio .ape format is what is known as a 'lossless' format in that you can go back and forth between making an .ape file of a .wma and then, if you like, from .ape back to .wav ... With NO loss in quality and as many times as you like !!!
This is not the case for any of the other formats.
The .ape and .ogg formats (quality for quality) create files that are a bit larger than .mp3 but are really a lot higher sound quality.
AND, .ape and .ogg are FREE !!! - .mp3 is NOT... Whenever anyone distributes a program that incorporates any aspect of .mp3 conversion or processing 'tools' they MUST pay a license fee for the use of the original software. This may not affect you directly, but people who write programs sure need to think about it as the companies which 'own' .mp3 are into heavy-duty lawyer types !
If you're interested in the other formats, just say so as I have been thinking about doing a thread about them. |
