Now, are you at a school ?
(Or, maybe running LW from an office ?)
If so, the administrator of your internet connection may have recently altered the ports you are allowed to access...
Try the Port :6346 - Test If It Is 'Blocked' link in my 'sig' below...
And, have a careful read of the info in
Alternate PORTS which is also with a link down there in my 'sig'...
There are some other possible problems, but it's best to try another port first... Well, it may also be easier !

btw, Also mention whether or not you are running with the same version of LW or if the problems started after you did a re-install or an upgrade...
