No matter what client you may be using, Quit occasionally... Like at least every 24 hrs... When you relaunch you will have a very 'sincere' attempt at resuming Downloads.
Other things you can do, but it depends a bit on the client.
Main thing is to NOT do anything that is particularly 'harmful' to the network. |
