I installed LimeWire a day before this post, and the problem continues. That was the only change between killing KaZaA and getting LW.

Seems kind of moot now, as, assumedly thanks to my @#$@ with the system preferences, I am getting no repeat NO sound output whatsoever...

*shudder*
