Yes this is a very old client - you should update it. Try one of these...

Both are gnutella clients despite the different names. Gnucleus is more powerful, but LimeWire is very easy to use.

Sometimes the person sharing the MP3's program may be busy, but the old clients don't work well for retrys. You'll probably have better luck with one of the newer ones.
