thanks for your help, but guess what? I got an upload today! it's all fine now, it must have been my firewall, today when I started up my computer I couldn't do anything on the internet. Weird enough, my firewall was blocking everything, so I installed it entirely, and now everything that had trouble before is working great It must have been because I had the firewall before I set up my LAN/router/print server and got broadband. So the configuarion files probably should have been re configured for the LAN and all, before it used to sort of work, only some trouble every now and then.
