On XP, OS X and Linux a freeze of internet connection is mostly due to a poor hardwares: network card if the problem is on the computer, modem or router on the network side. That's all well and good but this problem has only ever occurred since I started using the latest version of Limewire. I'm using the same modem I've had for the last 12 months and prior versions had no problems. Surely that suggests the problem is software based rather than hardware?
