Hi,
I'm the only Mac (OSX10.3.4) on a wireless network also consisting of 2 PCs (XP) and a system box (also XP) that the network uses for storage. We can all 'see' each other and read/write etc to each others machines. Connected to the internet via DSL 1MB boradband. I'm the only Limewire user (Pro version).
My problem is that Limewire won't hash any of the files on the system box/file server - which is a pain as I store quite a lot there
For a fraction of a second, it sees them after I've added a folder (using the 'add folder to share' or via the Preferences pane), but doesn't start to hash them and my total number of files shared goes back to what I'm sharing from my hard drive. I have no problem adding folders locally, just from the shared file server.
I've turned all sercurity 'off' and disabled firewalls - then even rebooted everything for luck!
Anybody got any clues how I can resolve this? Is this a networking issue or perhaps an XP issue - perhaps I should post there?
Thanks
Nicola.
