cache, availibility problems I just started using gnutella, and I thought... Geeze, I have nothing to share!
I would very much like it if gnutella would let me do the following:
1. Have the gnutella network automatically download popular files to my special cache folder. Now I can help the network the most by helping others download the most popular data. With this feature, everyone can have popular data.
a) Some people can choose to have few, very popular pieces of data.
b) Some people can choose to have tons of less popular data.
c) Some people can choose to just download fragments of files, while others can choose to download complete files into their cache.
2. Use the bit torrent strategy! Let me make sure no one downloads from me at a much higher rate then they are uploading. Some people might be more generous then others...
3. Allow people to tag files with names, so that searching is better. The most frequently entered names can be used for the search. Now people can trust the search and file names a little better. (Meta data?)
Thank you very much. I need you to help me find the Truth, and it seems like you are helping me quite a deal. |
