I wasn't even aware of auto-fill, it's never happened to me. I normally copy-paste my searches b/c I will usually do more than one search of the same item or topic - even if it's only the 1st part of the search name. It saves me from continually typing the same s. criteria. At least that's one small way to overcome it!
