The 'Rip' process sounds as though it was done on a pc Windows platform. Please supply the following details: your computer platform (Windows/Mac/other), your hardware & OS details very specifically!, & what video type & burner type softw's you have?
I'm not a pc Windows person personally, so details of the output files are a bit diff't to what I come across.
Other option:
My partner (x-TV producer) borrows many dvd's from 'BlockBuster' but doesn't always get time to see the xtras - particularly for 24 hr loans. So I temporarily back them up onto dvd-rw until we get the time. Perhaps you could consider something similar.
Or otherwise supply the above details & we (hopefully others on Windows) will suggest something.
By the way, AVI's are generally (but certainly not always) VCD standard. It's possible to save into AVI at high-res. Try burning your files to VCD/DVD using RW media & see if it works on your DVD/VCD player. (I must xplore this area & see exactly what is available & what quality the best offer. It won't be the original quality & will be downsized to fit either onto CD/DVD (dvd-5 format).) |
