It means it cannot find enough resources to dwnld from. So it sends out a query every few mins to try to find them. The reason it does this at intervals is to reduce the amount of net traffic; ie: if it were sending out queries more often it would jam the gnutella netwk & slow it down for everybody. My advice would be to do a search for that item. If it doesn't start to dwnld after the search, delete it from the dwnld window & reselect it from the search results. Try this a few times, but if it doesn't work it might be wise to wait another day. Sometimes sources of files are not easy to obtain or connect with (some are easier than others.) When you choose to dwnld a file, it's wisest to choose one that has a high star rating. In fact, you can set your search prefs so that they only show the multiple star ratings in your search results. This can be wise, b/c the single or 2 star rated search results may be very difficult to connect with &/ maintain a connection with. Hope this helps. |
