Many things can lead to the illusion of poor sound quality audio files but it generally sums up to this: don't use Limewire's .mp3 player as your preferred player. Insufficient RAM, corrupted or out-dated Java's can lead to skipping during song playback or even, in some cases, the song not playing unless you wait a couple of minutes after hitting that Launch button.
The doctor's remedy? The prescription includes finding the files in your computer by locating the Shared folder, then using another player for playback.
