That is the behavior of some virii/worms. I came accross the same thing in my more computer ignorant days. Do you have an anti virus? Every window$ user needs to have an anti virus and a firewall. So, my suggestion to you is to get an AV if you do not already have one and do a virus scan. NEVER download an XML file from a P2P network, I try to stay away from executibles all together.
