That's the problem with WMP, it requires xtra codecs to help u to play audio & video material. And yes, Microsoft is full into licencing. There's better players out there. As far as your 2nd question goes, it depends what type of file it is. If it's a zip file use winzip. Drag & drop it onto the app. Oh and check the size of the file first before u download it. If it is very small, then it's probably serials or notes. The larger ones are the apps. Do a search using Programs, not a Any Type search. Just click the Prog search tab before u search.
