I don't know which platform you're using but in OSX that's not abnormal. I suspect it's something to do with Java. It's particularly noticeable it you leave your cursor over mp3's & the id info displays. Try not to leave your cursor sitting over the names of files, be it in the search results or the Library window lists of files.
