Default Being Bumped off Downloading

Dear LW People

I believe this problem has been aired before but I am unable to find the posting or remember the name of the user that brought this to your attention.

I was 10th in line for a very rare (hard to get) file for which there is only one source, I waited patiently for my turn, which eventually came. Later on, after the download had started, I was bumped off my download and put back to 1st in line.

I decided to leave my PC running overnight in the hope that I would get a complete download by the morning, on examining LW Pro (V4.0.8) the next morning I found that the download did start, but yet again, after getting a third of the file, I was pushed off my download and set back to 1st in line.

Therefore, I have a few questions and a request:

a) Does LW Pro leave gaps in it’s downloading function so that it can be pushed back by other Gnutella clients?

b) If the answer is no, and I suspect that it is “no”, then what P2P software has the ability to knock back Gnutella clients?

c) Can this “knock back” feature, that a rogue P2P seem to have, be stopped?

And here is my request:

Can an “anti-knock back” feature be incorporated into LW Pro?

The thing is, I don’t mind waiting in a long queue for a “hard to get” file and I don’t mind waiting up to 2 days for a rare file to download but I do object when someone can come along and bump my download out of the way and push me back into the queue.
