That is potentially a major problem. More than likely there will be a firewall on the network. You may need to force your way thru the firewall/try another port. There's several threads that've discussed this issue. Do a search for dorm or dormitory or college or school or firewall on the forum. A router allows several comps to connect to the net simultaneously. They generally have a firewall fx.
