As for legality, do a search on the forum for legal & illegal. There is no ranking of whether a file is corrupt or not. However, some sources offer a high % of corrupt files. Filter them out. Another alternative to baby-sitting your computer is to resume them. However I would only do this as a last resort. It has a draining fx on the connection to the gnutella network. It's also not healthy for the netwk b/c it increased traffic multiple times by sending out continual searches. ALso, the 1st post of the following thread 'might' help:
