I don't know exactly what you are doing, but I will tell you what I do to use the mp3 files that I share with other limewire users. I found the best way to get iTunes to play the files is to drag the mp3 icons from the 'shared' folder in the 'preferences' folder, inside your 'system' folder on your hard drive and drop them onto your open iTunes application; be sure to expand the iTunes window and highlight the 'library' option. This works for me, I have an iMac with OS 9.2.2 and iTunes 2.0.4. Alternatively, you could drag the mp3 icons into the 'iTunes music' folder inside the 'iTunes' folder inside the 'documents' folder that is on your hard drive. If you use the second option you may want to add the 'iTunes music' folder to the shared files in your Limewire application.
