Joe Busuttil has a spectacular aura about
Default Photoshop CS5

Cannot extract object from image in photoshop CS5.

I need a step-by-step method (not only a video, please, as am hard of hearing, and unable to follow what the tutor is saying).

Moreover, I am only a newbie in photoshop CS5.

To guide you in giving me instructions, I cannot find the EXTRACT tool in
CS5, and if I go to REFINE EDGE, what exactly am I to do there? Using the sliders in REFINE EDGE dialogue box only left me with a black image when I selected the object I wanted to remove.

Kindly help, if you can spare the time, as I am a frustrated old-age pensioner when it comes to navigating certain aspects of Photoshop CS5.

Many, many thanks.

Joe (from the heart of the Mediterranean)
