Handling a CDG file

I just downloaded a CDG file but cannot play it .. it appears to have something to do with Karaoke .. is this a playable file and if so, how do I do it

Many thanks .. this is much too complicated for me. I will now avoid CDG files like the plague

cdg files are played along with the music files to display the lyrics of the song. you can get plugins for winamp or windows media player to use these files.
