I've searched for Books on Tape by titles and by authors but have located only a scattering of books. Any tricks to finding books on tape would be appreciated. My Grandmother is now 103 and blind so TV and most forms of entertainment are out. I enjoy a good book when I drive the 8 hours to visit her, then I give her the books. She enjoys a good mystery. Any suggestions would be helpful. Why isn't there a category for "Books On Tape"? I've sent her about 40 books. When she passes I'll put them on Limewire by "Author, Title, followed by the words "Books on Tape".

erm ... this topic has been discussed previously. To save me searching for them. Do a forum search for audiobook or audio-book or audio and book. A recent moderator called Ursula was very keen & knowledgable on this topic but unfortunately hasn't been around this year. I do know audio books come in different forms & file formats.

Thanks. I found about 12 unique listings under Audiobooks. Another 8 under Audio Books (not counting learning to speak Spanish). and 7 under Books on tape. Would definietely be helpful if there was a general category for these.

I believe ebook and audiobook are a couple of the search terms you can use to help find audiobooks using LimeWire or other. I believe some also can be found by searching their specific extensions. eg: .m4b, odm, but also the other formats like mp3, m4a, aac, mp4, etc.

How are you intending to play the audiobooks?

As far as the forums go ... an audiobook section? Interesting idea. Will be considered.
